Gull enthusiast Dick Newell kindly commented as follows;
"I can’t see anything wrong with your gull for
michahellis. Structurally it looks right (a lot of the rear end out of the
water), the head and bill shape look right (flat-topped head, stubby bill), the
grey-shade looks right the pattern of black on the primaries looks right (black
extending to a complete band on P5). The single mirror on P10 is typical.
I would not like to speculate with this is a Mediterranean bird or an Atlantic
bird – but some sort of mich certainly."
